Namaste everyone.
Do you enjoy markets? Do you like walking past stools smelling the delious smells and the tasty treats? Well today I will be telling you about my school's market day that happened on 4th December 2018. Let's get into it!
On the 16th October 2018, the teachers introuduced to us our PBL for the term. The burning question was: How can we successfully design, build, market and sell a product that meets the needs of our cultural diverse community? For the term we had to focus on that question while doing the steps to create something to sell on the market day.
A while after they had finished introuducing the PBL to us, they showed us a few videos on Shark Tanks. Shark Tank is a show where people from all across the world go to them to borrow money. They firstly have to persuade the Sharks on their idea and how much money they would like to borrow. Also why. The teachers showed us what a GOOD Shark Tank looks like and what a BAD Shark Tank looks like. They were both really funny. After watching the two Shark Tanks, the teachers said that we would have to do the Shark Tank to them. I was like AHHHHHHHHHHHH! This was going to be a very hard challenge indeed.
A few hours later when it was the end of the day, the teachers told us that we were going to have a shared lunch on the 18th October as part of the market. So tomorrow (Tuesday) we were going to find out what country we would be baking from. (Cooking if you must!) The next day when it was time for PBL we starting discussing what sort of foods we could bring. After that one by one we picked a piece of paper out of a box. Whatever country was on the piece of paper, was the type of food that you had to bring for the shared lunch.
