For P.B.L we had to find a family treasure and share it with our home base. After we shared we had to write a story about our family treasure or our family story. I chose my family treasure and here is my story↓
This treasure here is one of my great grandmother’s paintings.
This treasure is special to my family because it was painted by my great grandmother.
This painting here is one of my grandmother's favourites because it was given to her by my great grandmother. This painting was painted between the 1960’s and the 1970’s. My great grandmother had a lot of different hobbies that she liked. They were nature, drawing and dressmaking. Most of the dresses that she made were wedding dresses, including my grandmother’s wedding dress. Her drawing was spectacular and her favourite things to paint were birds, horses and landscapes. My Great grandmother has painted many paintings. One of her paintings (which was a picture of 3 horses in a stable) won a prize and got displayed in the Invercargill Art gallery. My great grandmother started painting when she was living near a beach and started when she was at the age of 50 years old.
My great grandmother’s name is….. Rosa Ann McDonald.
