Term 4 Market Day!! (Week 2 Free Choice)

Kia Ora everyone,

Welcome back!

Today in this blog, I will be talking to you about Market day. Let's roll on round!

So on Tuesday 4th December 2018, the whole school is doing a Market day. Each hub has something specific that they need to include on the Market day. Our goal is to try and make money so it can go towards the Kaupeka's day out which will be happening the Thursday after the Market day. Let's get to the main point!

There are a few steps that we need to do before we can start creating and baking things for our Market day. The first step is to get in groups of 4. I'm in a group with Monique D,Samantha E and Beccy L. They are such cool people! Anyway the next step that we did was watched a video of Shark Tank. We watched a successful one and not a successful one. While watching the video, we had a look at the ways the people persuaded the sharks to go with their idea. They kept going until they got what they wanted.
When we have decided what we are going to do, we are going to persuade our teachers. They said they would be called the goverment and one of them the prime minster. When it's our turn, we have to persuade them what we want to do and how much money we would like to borrow from them. I feel very nervous but excited at the same time.
Our next step is to come up with our product that we will be selling on the Market day. The product has to be part of a culture. So we decided to go with Italy. Our idea is going to be a obstacle course and a food stool. Here is a bit about each of the ideas:

For the obstacle course you will choose your team of two and will play cops and robbers with a water gun. The winner will get a box of lollies and also will get to play in the second round where you will try and not get wet at all for a bigger prize.

For the food stool we will be selling to types of food. They are a slice of pizza and a bag\box of lollies. The prices for the food  are $2 and $2.50.

Have you ever done a market before? If you did, what did you sell?
