Production (Week 8)

Talofa Lava everyone!

Today in this blog post, I will be talking to you about a production that the whole school will be particapating in. 

Let's get to it!

On Thursday 27th September 2018, the year  7&8 hub will be performing a production to the whole school and to parents as well.  Our princapl thought that it would be a great idea to learn something new and to try it out and see what will happen. 

Each hub have been set a theme for the dance. The Kaupeka's is the God. We have been put into groups that are based around God. The names of the groups are, Papa, Rangi, Tane, Rongo, Tawhiri, Tangaroa, Tu and Haumia. I'm in Tangaroa which is awesome! The teachers have made up dance scenes that each group does. In our groups we have to make an intro and another dance as well. Before we move on to our second dance, one of our teachers has to approve it before we move on. We are on our second which is great! Anyway let's get to the main part of this blog.

After this talk, I will be listing our songs that we are dancning too and what we are wearing. Let's get to it!

In my group (Tangaroa) we have been set a animal that relates to sea. Their are Dolphins, Crabs, Turtles, Sharks, Waves and Fishies. Here is the list of the people in my group and what they are doing.

Waves - Penny and Hamish

Fishies - Tiana and Malia    

Turtles - Xavier and Reuben J

Dolphins - Tamera & Hannah

Crab - Hamish

Sharks - Josh and Sam

Before I get into what we are wearing, these are just ideas, they aren't set costumes.  

For the waves Penny might wear a blue dress with blue makeup.
Hamish might wear a blue t-shirt with blue shorts\pants.

For the fishes, we haven't decided on that just yet.

For the turtles, Reuben and Xavier might wear a green t-shirt and green shorts\pants.

For the dolphins, we haven't decided on that just yet.

For the crabs, Hamish will be dancing but will be wearing the same costume as the waves.

Finally for the sharks, we have decided on that just yet.

Here is a review from the production!:

My opinion\review on this terms production was... Incredible. It was so thought out and everything went to plan. I had a great time bring on stage and having some fun during the perofmances. I really hope that we get to do something like this again soon!
