Family Treasures!

Hello Bloggers!!

Throughout these few weeks we have been talking about treasures and what is special to us and why.

The teachers showed us their treasures as an example. As soon as they had finished sharing their treasures it was our turn. When we had got given a weaving bag that meant it was our turn to share our family treasures.

Here is some information about my family treasures:

Teddy bear:

This teddy bear was given to me by my Grandma and Grandad when I was two years old.  It is special to me because it reminds me of them when I look and hug it. I am so lucky for them to still be alive.

Tinker (Cat);

This is Tinker. She is turning 8 years old this year. When the 2011 earthquake happened she turned up at our windowsill  while my mum was cooking dinner. We decided to feed her and then after a while she started hanging around us so we decided to keep her. Before we decided to keep her we put photos of her on the internet to see if anyone had lost there cat. We had one person come over and see if it was their cat but the person said it wasn't. (It looked exactly like Tinker. Maybe the owner did not want the cat anymore!)

Anyway that Sunday morning we named her Tinkerbell. (Short for Tinker). She was so awesome and I wanted to keep her forever.

After a few years time we decided to move house as our old house was getting to small. We moved into a subdivision where there was a lot of building going on. If we had moved Tinker there she could of got run over by trucks or other stuff. So we moved her to our Nana’s place where she could stay there for as long as she wanted to as my Nana loves cats so much. So after a few months we came over to visit Tinker and my Nana and when went over to say hi she did not remember us anymore. How rude!! She must of forgotten us !

Later on we sort of forgot about her but I have never. She will always be special to me and will always stay in my heart forever!

So that is all about my treasures. I hope you enjoyed.

What are your family treasures??
