Today (30th of April 2018) was the first day back at school for term 2. This term was going to be so fun! We will be doing a 24 hour challenge, science badges, math badges, science fair and loads more. But I won't be talking about this in this blog, this blog for today will be about a Cake in a Mug. Let's start!
A Cake in a Mug is basically a small cake that you make in a mug. Today we had the opportunity to sign up for a writing workshop. I chose the writing workshop of a cake in a mug with one of my teachers Miss Wilson. We were going to be learning about how to make a cake in a mug and how to write instructions on how to make stuff. Firstly we went over the ingredients and materials. Secondly we went down to the staff room and watched Miss Wilson make the cake in a mug. While making it she set us a challenge. When she said go we had to go upstairs and write the instructions. If they were perfect and she liked it, you would be able to taste a bit of the cake in a mug. I was around 5th and never got to taste the cake but that did not matter. She also had told us that we were going to make it tomorrow and eat it which was awesome! That was a great writing session!
Here is my recipe that I did on how to make a cake in a mug!
Mug Cake Instructions!!
Ingredients:

1\4 of a cup of sugar

Materials:
A mug
Fork
Spoon

Instructions:

Step 2: MIx the egg with a fork.
Step 3: Measure out a 1\4 of a cup of sugar and pour into the mug.
Step 4: Next grab 1-2 tablespoons for cocoa and pour into cup. (Depending on how chocolaty
you want your mug in a cup to be.)
Step 5: Add your decoration in (If you want it in your cake) (Optional)
Step 6: Grab a fork and stir the mixture until combined.
Step 6: Put the mug into the microwave roughly for 60 seconds. (Watch the microwave the
whole time just in case it overflows.)
Step 8: When the timer is up have a look and see if you like it or not. (If not put it back in for
how many seconds you like.
Keep doing that until you think it's ready for you!)
Step 9: Add your decoration to your cake (Optional)
Step 10: Once done enjoy!
Have you ever made a cake in a mug before or something like that?
Hi Hannah,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Olivia and I'm you blog buddy from OLA.
I've had a cake in a mug and there so cool! I like your instructions, there really detailed. I did something like that last year but it was to do with a hot chocolate. From the comment you sent be before, I was in the grey jersey. Will you get to have your own stand at your science fair and what are you thinking of doing for it?
Olivia.
Hi Olivia!
DeleteThanks! I do like to put a lot of detail and though into my work. How did the cake in a mug taste when you added Hot chocolate to it? I'm no so sure if I will get my own stand for the science fair as we haven't talked about that just yet. My science fair project is going to be on Hot Ice Cream! If you are doing the science fair what are you doing?
Hannah.
